For lesson #2 of our "Birth of Modern Oregon" unit we jumped into a little thing called "Vortex I". Now, this isn't the Vortex of southern Oregon, where weird and freaky things seem to happen. No, this Vortex is probably even freakier and weirder, considering the context.
Vortex I: A state sponsored, hippie fest used to avoid a conflict between anti-war protestors and war veterans in 1970.
